For most of us, art is very personal. It reminds you of a special place, a person you love, your childhood home, or simply highlights your favorite colors. Art must do something personal and tell your story. Most of you don't buy my landscape paintings just because they are pretty or fashionable. This is what you tell me:

"I used to go there with my family on vacations. I have so many wonderful memories there."
"We honeymooned in that area."
"This is the park where we go with our kids all the time."
I grew up there."
I love when my art tells your story. This happens in the most beautiful way when you commission me to do a painting of something that is special to you. I get to be an insider in your story. I get to recreate that memorable place, that day, that moment, that house. And you get to see it come to life.

​Some of the commissions I do are given as gifts. Adult children in a family pool their money to commission a piece for their parent as an anniversary gift. Sometimes a family is moving and want a painting of their old home as a memory. One family commissioned me to do two large paintings of their farm in different seasons.
THE PROCESS
1. You share your vision and story.
2. We agree on dimensions and price.
3. You provide photos or I visit location.
4. You approve initial design sketch.
5. I paint.
6. You approve painting or provide feedback.
7. Painting is finished off.
8. You pay and enjoy!
