Welcome to my website! I am an urban and rural landscape painter.
I use strong design, bold color and radiant light to capture the beauty in everyday life.
I am excited to offer prints of my artwork online. Click below to preview images that are available as archival prints on paper, canvas, and metal in various sizes. Check back regularly as this gallery will be growing. Original paintings will also be available occasionally.
From coastal views to heartland vistas, from urban centers to country lanes, I love to paint the everyday beauty around me.
I grew up on Camano Island, in Washingon State, surrounded by towering pine trees, majestic mountains and vast waters. These epic scenes are etched on my mind. After marrying my lovely Canadian wife we lived in one of the most picturesque cities in the world, Vancouver, B.C. The beauty of this city and the Canadian artists I studied under were foundational in shaping the direction I would take in my art career. In recent years I made the Midwest my home and have discovered a subtler yet equally compelling type of beauty. From this new home I love to travel regularly with my family to many parts of the US and Canada, painting as I go.
I work out of the Harrison Center for the Arts in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and my family's working gallery, Sunnyshore Studio, on Camano Island, in Washington State. My artwork has been featured on HGTV and collected internationally. To learn more about me and why I love being an artist, be sure to check out the About pages.

All Jed Dorsey Fine Art prints are printed with archival inks on archival surfaces to guarantee the highest quality and longest lasting product available. What are Archival Prints? "Archival-Prints" are Museum-quality Fine-Art reproductions. Sometimes called "Giclee Prints", these artworks are made with an ultra-high-resolution fine-art printer, using the very finest archival inks and papers. Independant testing by Wilhelm Imaging Research Inc. (a world-leader in image-longevity testing) has established that these "Archival-Prints" will last more than 200 years before any noticable shift in color integrity occurs. They are truly "Museum-quality Fine-Art reproductions". Please remember that even though these archival prints are truly amazing, it is still best to keep ALL artwork - prints and originals - away from direct sunlight.
